Tongs!?! A Pictorial Guide for the Serious Sylvanian Collector

I've been organizing all my small bits and pieces into sectioned plastic containers putting similar objects into one section and have learned some interesting things about my collection.

I have fourteen tongs (the things you use to pick up bread or salad). Whatever am I going to do with fourteen tongs? I only have like five toothbrushes, but I have enough tongs to open up a tong stall at the Orchard's Keep marketplace.

And the surprise doesn't stop here. There are eight different styles of tongs. Why would Epoch use eight different styles of tongs? Why does Epoch put so many tongs in Sylvanian Families sets? Are tongs the #1 utensil in Japan beating even toothbrushes?

Here's a pictorial guide to all of the tongs in Sylvania (just what every collector was craving).

from Esme's Camping Set
Image
These silver tongs have a very narrow "hinge" and interior grips on the heads.

from Garden Barbecue Set
Image
These silver tongs have a narrow "hinge" and very flat rectangular heads.

from Wedding Day Luncheon Set
Image
These silver tongs with a narrow rounded "hinge" are make to be fancier for your special day with animal-claw or seashell shaped heads.

from Cooking Set
Image
These silver tongs with a narrow rounded "hinge" are quite different with their angled heads that show their grips on the interior and exterior.

from Street Market
Image
These tongs with a narrow rounded "hinge" really mix it up by being brown instead of the commonplace silver. They have small, flat, round heads.

from Dessert Counter Set
Image
These silver tongs have a wide rounded "hinge" and large oval heads with interior grips.

from Hamburger Wagon
Image
Theses silver tongs have a wide rounded "hinge" and thick rectangular heads.

from (top to bottom) Scrumptious Sandwich Set, Delightful Doughnut Set, and Water Mill Bakery

These silver tongs are the most popular in Sylvania. They are the only tongs in my collection that appear in multiple sets and they far outnumber all of the other tongs. The tongs have a wide rounded "hinge" and scalloped heads.

So now that I have whet everyone's curiosity, I'm sure that you're all either running out to see how many tongs you have or see if you can find a set that includes a different set of tongs...

This is my attempt at humor, folks. If you find it to be useful information... hmmm...
