Old Oak Hollow Tree House
The Tree House is even better looking in person than it is in the stock photos. With all the walkways around the house on various floors and the spacious rooms (depending on which furniture sets are added), I'd estimate a good eight families could be displayed here. It's well designed to maximize play and it's sturdy. There is even a little bird house built into the tree. The original box is large enough to store the Tree House. I really like this house!

Re: Old Oak Hollow Tree House
I can't wait to see your pictures because this is one set that I just find silly. I loathe the "specially designed" furniture for it too even though I did end up buying two of the furniture sets (the dining room and the living room).

Re: Old Oak Hollow Tree House
Eric,
I have the furniture sets that are supposed to go inside the Tree House. I also have a boatload of other furniture sets to go in the other houses. I'm going to see which furniture sets fit which houses better and may not use the "tree house furniture" in the Tree House. I'll probably have to check this idea with my supplier to see if he's set on having the "tree house furniture" in the Tree House videos.
I'm not going to be posting actual photos of the Tree House or any of my other new stuff. Photos of the fronts of the original boxes are all that I have posted on each new web page. At least one video, though, will show details of the Tree House

Re: Old Oak Hollow Tree House
I was going to ask if you got the Mango Monkeys with the Treehouse but then saw that you have the Sylvanian Families Old Oak Hollow Treehouse not the Calico Critters. The Monkeys come with the Calico Critters Treehouse and their clothes have been changed. Does anyone have them yet? I have been considering getting the treehouse but I have to be realistic because I simply don't have room for it.

Re: Old Oak Hollow Tree House
Hi Candy,
In the 2010 Sylvanian Families catalogue from the London shop it says the Old Oak Treehouse comes with the two Mango Monkeys in different outfits ('exclusive' apparantly!) - so I shall check with the store to see if they supply the Calico Critters version.

Re: Old Oak Hollow Tree House
I'd REALLY be interested to see some owner pictures, definitely.
I go back and forth on the treehouse. It doesn't quite fit with the other SF/CC buildings in some ways, but in some ways that's kind of cute.
I think I do want it, but I'm not really sure how I'd display it since both the front and the back have lots of fun things to show off. (Normally I display houses on shelves with the front facing the wall so that you can see inside.)

Re: Old Oak Hollow Tree House
Thanks! I really love your site. You have a lot of nice, clear pictures of buildings and other things, which a lot of sites don't have.

Re: Old Oak Hollow Tree House
Thanks for the pictures, cotton1234, but I'm still not convinced that the treehouse is worthy of being called anything buy silly. I do like the patio furniture set though.

Re: Old Oak Hollow Tree House
Further Review After Set Up:
Fun Things:
* Two second floor trap doors, one that leads from the main floor and up a ladder to the second floor. The other trap door opens to the slide that ends in the water pool. Also a red boat included for the water pool.
* Little bird house with the same roof design and colour at the top of the house.
* Large and very long bay window with window sears in the fourth floor room.
* Three enclosed balcony areas, one with a built-in pergola, one with a removeable yellow umbrella (both of these connected by the removeable wooden walkway), and one off the third floor room.
Additional Comments:
The rooms are large enough to hold large furniture sets. I have the Cosy Living Room Set on the main floor that's supposed to go with the Tree House, but it doesn't quite fill up the space as much as I'd like. My thought is that any of the larger living room sets would go in there nicely. The Small Bathroom Set is in my fourth floor room and it doesn't take up as much space as the room has space for.
Because I'm thinking of using the Tree House as a country house that's not part of Carrot Creek Village proper, Chris and I are working out a plan to construct a simple bridge to go over some fake water that will connect to the water pool.
Finally, of all the Sylvanian houses, I think this one the most play value for children (and for those who think like children). For play value, imo, it's better than the Field View Mill, which is also quite cool but more sophisticated.
