Re: Japanese Misty Forest Fairy Tree
Sarah, thanks for the pictures. Seeing them made me more glad to have ordered the set. I'll finally admit because I won't be able to keep this under wraps until her birthday, but I did order the tree, the water fairy set, the strawberry fairy set, the toadstoll fairy set, and the three fairy set for my daughter for her birthday. (The fairy sets are actually for our Christmas stockings). I thought that the fairy tree and three fairy set would be a great way to honor my daughter's birthday since:
1. they're are first Japanese sets;
2. they're are first fairy sets;
3. it's my daughter's first birthday.
We're also getting her a tricycle. I thought that the tricycle would be more expensive, and then it turned out to be pretty inexpensive, so I figured this would help round our her birthday presents.
I just hope they arrive in time which I think they should. We still have about two months!

Re: Japanese Misty Forest Fairy Tree
We got our Fairy Tree House yesterday. I only opened the box to make sure everything was okay and not damaged.
When I saw the box, I was a bit worried about the size of the tree house; the box just seemed so small. The tree house is a pretty nice size though.
Also the holes to put the flowers in are not that noticable, to me at least. I actually forgot about them until I saw the flowers in the accessories box. So, I'm not too disappointed that there are more holes than flowers. Well, maybe the holes will be more noticable when I put the flowers in some of them though.
The set is for my daughter's birthday, so there won't be pictures for another month. Those are just my initial reactions to the set. I didn't really get to dig through it and play with it yet.

Re: Japanese Misty Forest Fairy Tree
I have had the pictures of this set up on my website for some time, but I only recently got to really look and play with it.
I like the set and it is fun, but it has its problems most of which Sarah already discussed. It's hard to fit fairies on one side of the acorn go round. And the leaf cradle is pretty low functioning. My favorites accessories are the mushroom stairs and the stump with hidden strawberry pie.
The building is nice and will be fun to play with when Adah is older. I'm betting this will be one of her favorite buildings. There really is something magical with it. I easily come up with fun stories for this tree house. And a bizarre "for your information," the fairy wands fit into the flower holes in the tree. Maybe that's the secret of the fairy tree? It grows the wands?
The flower fairy is beautifully cute. I love all of the our fairies because they are just so small and right. Again, there's just something magical about them that makes you believe in things that you've stopped believing in. They're just fun.
The fairy tree set is nice but a luxury for its price. I'll never regret buying it, but if you're trying to stretch your budget this set is not spectacular. It's nice. It's fun. But the accessories are a let down and without good accessories, what good is the set really? Really ask yourself if this is a set you need before purchasing it.

Re: Japanese Misty Forest Fairy Tree
One other complaint that I just remembered: the acorn go round's base is so small that it is hard to spin just the cars. Usually the entire go-round will move, and not just spin. The cars and base will move to the left or right or front and back. I'm trying to say that the base doesn't stay put. It will move.
