For P-Angel

The hunt for the missing package begins!

Here are two pictures I took of them before I sent them off last October 26. I will try to track it down using the tracking number.

Hi Kitty,

I shall call the sorting office this morning! emoticon

Edit: I called them and they have no package for me. They said if you give me the tracking number I can try and trace it on www.royalmail.com to find out where it is.

Panda- got the tracking number: EE 204 937 985 PH, sent October 26, 2010 from the Quezon City Postal Office, Philippines.

I just found out that there is no way for me to trace the package online via the PhilPost website so I guess I'll have to go down to the post office and start interrogating, ehr, asking politely.

Keep me posted, please.

Hugs,
♥Kitty

I used the tracking number on the EMS receipt on www.royalmail.com and this came up:

Parcel Details
Parcel number: EC372244028GB
Service: Express 24
Status: Held

I wonder why it's being held...

Hi again,

Perhaps it's being held for customs purposes? Royal Mail ususally leave a calling card if I owe any money. I'll phone them again tomorrow and ask what's going on. At least the package is somewhere and not missing!

Last year I had to wait for over 6 weeks for a package from Australia (Sylvanian City).

I didn't have a tracking number, so the package was just 'lost'.

It turned out that my package was delayed, I got it after 6 weeks, this was the sticker on the box: "Delayed for compliance with aviation security regulations".

I think that they check some random/dangerous packages at customs, and this can take some time. Maybe your package will arrive with the same sticker on the box.

I have waited for five weeks for my surface posted package from BeHappu (Malaysia). And it has not arrived Finland yet emoticon I have the tracking number that says it has left Malaysia, but after that I don't know where it may be emoticon BeHappy customerservice told me it can take up to 2 months for a package to trawel around the world...

But still - I am a bit nervous.

Using surface post is guaranteed to take much longer than airmail, epsecially when travelling around the world. The only thing to do when having your packages shipped by surface is to be very, very patient.

Oddly enough, sometimes products can contain basic elements that COULD be used to make something harmful. The detection systems aren't very discriminatory about detecting such elements, so sometimes we have to wait while they get sorted out. (at least here in the US!)

Good news! Ironically after making a stink with the post office, Parcel Force tried to deliver the package this afternoon!

I shall be picking it up from the sorting office tomorrow morning. So excited! emoticon
