School master set (pic heavy)

This is a review for the JP School Master Set. It's an old set, but it's still available on All99 or in the budget corner of BeHappy.

Image

I really love this set, it's got little teaching essentials that go really well with my mini school (the one that comes with the notorious balding dog teacher).

The set comes with a box of chalk (I love the little individual chalk pieces!), a duster and I'm not really sure what the bottle is. Ink maybe?

Image

This is my absolute favorite part of the set, the test tubes, flasks and stand. The flasks even have little measurement marks on the side. The only way these could be better is if they had colored liquid simulated on the inside.

Image

The rest of the set contains a clock, an abacus (I'm not really sure if it's called that, sorry), math equipment and a vest.

Image

There's also a cardboard sheet that contains posters for the classroom and the numbers can be inserted into the top of the abacus. You'll have to blu tac or tape the posters to the wall of you building though, as they are not stickers.

Image

I'm glad I bought this set as it ended up being one of my favorites. emoticon

Oooo, I would never have realized that. All the bunsen burners I've ever encountered were of the blue gas canister variety. My second guess was correction fluid :P

Thanks Rockie!

This is a great set. I'll have to consider adding it to our wish list. Great review and pictures.

Thanks.

Wow! I have never realized how many tiems this set contains!

duckpuddle, can you take a picture of your little school with these items put at their places? I am really curious.

I think it's a good thing that you have to use blu tac to attach the cardboard sheets. It would be really hard to decide a permanent place for them if they were stickers.

I'll take a pic tomorrow if the light's not bad. It's rather cloudy here today. I alternate pieces depending on what lesson it is :P

Sorry for the late pictures! One day I was too busy and the next I forgot...whoops...

The Beagle dog is wearing the vest that came with the set.

Science lesson!

Math lesson!

I've decided that the little school's really too small to accommodate the desk and chairs, even without all the extra stuff from the school master set. So I've decided I'll build a small extension for them some time in the future...

I think they fit surprisingly well. The pupils desks are bit in a way though. But all those chemist accessories look really good! I think that the acabus is too big scale for sylvanians...
