Fireplace comparison
I have reacently got three really nice fireplaces (all of them sold separately) and I thought I could make a comparison thing for you to enjoy.
Before I start: I am really sorry, but fireplace-vocabulary is not my speciality! ^^' Try to cope with me!
1. Tomy Victorian fireplace
This old fireplace hounted me for a long time! I always saw it in furniture lots, but never with all of it's accessories. I didn't even know what it should have come with! But then I won it from ebay
It's corgeous! It's really special too as all of it's accessories are real metal! There is an ash shovel and bucket, poker, tea pot and a stand for it. Under the fire there is an ashdumb door (???) that can be taken out. The golden rail in front of the fireplace is separate too and made out of metal.
Only minus part of this set is that it does not have a real glowing ember. BUT! It makes this fireplace the thinnest out of the three.
A lace cloth could have been nice too... I am not sure if my set is incomplete, but there is no cloth in the package picture either.
2. Epoch japanese fireplace #1
This fireplace has come with some of the older Tomy living room sets too. But mine is a japanese version.
My set is not complete. I am missing two single logs that could have been put in the same pile as those three. Some of the accessories are a little bit odd. Does a dolls house belong to above a fireplace? The raccoon doll is really cute though
The set includes also a lace cloth, a clock, an ash shovel, pliers (??), a stand, a candlestick and a picture to wall. There were four different picture options for the frame and it was really hard to choose which one to use.
The amber is lit on this picture. You can't really see it when the lights are on. In the dark it glows really nicely It even flickers a bit.
3. Epoch japanese fireplace #2
This fireplace set came also with the Luxury livin room set and with renewed colours in the new Drawing room furniture set.
This one is the newes addition to my "fireplace collection" and I had hard time to find place for it from my dolls house
It has some great accessories with it: pile of logs with stand, a shovel, a lace cloth, a picture, a decorated plate, candlestick and two wall lights.
The grating before the ember can be taken off.
So, what do you think of them?
If some of you have a different kind of fireplace, please, write a review of it here! (with pictures!)

Re: Fireplace comparison
I'll have to take some accessorized pictures, but these will have to do for now.
1. This light up fireplace is from the International Playthings Calico Critters Living Room Accessories set (CC2564). It is very similar to Toukkero's Japanese fireplace #2, but the colors on the base and mantel are much lighter and cheapens the look of the fireplace in my opinion.
Its accessories include: a fireplace screen (much like the one in Toukkero's picture), shovel, one piece of five log firewood, firewood stand, decorative plate, decorative lace liner, 2 photo frames, and candle
2. This light up fireplace is from the International Playthings Calico Critters Deluxe Living Room set (CC2263). I think it is hideous. Maybe is the tile sticker was not cut off above the cove, I'd like it more; the sticker seems poorly designed. Furthermore, it does not come with a screen or firewood stand, and the shovel has little detail.
Its accessories include: a lace table runner, fireplace rack with two tools, clock, table picture frame, candy dish, a three log piece, and two individual logs)

Re: Fireplace comparison
OMG, Eric! I thought I was OCD taking photos of all the accessories You've taken accessory photography to a whole new level! Great work, though, because we can see each accessory in such great detail

Re: Fireplace comparison
Here is my 1987 Tomy fireplace. I love this piece! There is a switch on the back that makes the fire light up and give off an orange glow. It's cute, functional and traditional! It did not come with accessories.

Re: Fireplace comparison
The Country Living Room fireplace still looks the coziest to me, anyone has a more detailed picture? Thanks!

Re: Fireplace comparison
There is a close up picture of the fireplace that comes with the Flair Drawing Room set.
Sorry it's kind of dark. I wasn't having a good lighting day when taking these pictures.
The accessories are pretty standard: pile of log, log stand, shovel, lace runner, decorative plate, candlestick, and photo frame with a picture of a Mulberry raccoon.
