Hello from Houston, TX

Hi all. My name is Rebecca and I'm 22 years old. I live in Houston, TX but I grew up in Kintore, Scotland where I had bazillions of Sylvanian Families. During our family's exodus to the USoA, most of mine were lost and I kind of forgot about them.

Now that I'm older, I run my own exotic pet rescue that focuses on the pet rat, and I started a collection of mouse and rat figures for fun. I came across a knock-off of one of the Meadows mice in a garage sale and remembered about the Sylvanian Families.

So now I'm endeavoring to collect all the mouse/rat sylvanians, and a few of my other favorites, and set up a little town for them. I have seen a lot of great pictures of people's setups and I hope I can create something equally fantastic.

Thanks!

Hi Rebecca!

I'm about 3 hours away from you in Austin TX.
I'm glad you came back to Sylvania!
I know what it's like to have lost some of your childhood collection emoticon
I had the bottom level of the JP unit house that I used as my gray rabbit's kitchen.
I had brought the whole set up with me when we moved to Hawaii in 2006, and it got damaged in the move. I donated it to Salvation Army....
this is before I had realized just how rare it was. I still lament losing some of my old items, but luckily some people have had their collections stored safely. Im just waiting for them to sell them emoticon It's another way to recycle!

Good luck in finding all your mice!

Cristina

Hi Rebecca,

Nice to meet you. I had sylvanians as a child too, and went through a few years of forgetting all about them. But my love of them is thoroughly rekindled now i'm in my mid-twenties and I also hope to build a great village one day!
