Re: Do you think Sylvanian quality is lower than when it started?

Yeah, I've kind of noticed the lower quality [sign in to see URL] is, I wasn't really around when the first Sylvanian Families started coming out, but I do have a couple vintage SFs now that I can compare my CCs to.

Miss Important (my favorite CC and the one I spend the most time with) does have some missing flocking around her ears and some "swingy" limbs, and I got her from my therapist about a year ago. However, before my therapist gave Miss I to me, she would always let her younger child clientele play with her CCs in a dollhouse (it's really cute, btw, I took a photo of it once after she and I arranged all her little animals in it that I should put up on the board sometime emoticon) so it's possible that Miss I. was a bit worn out by the time I got [sign in to see URL] well, I love her anyway! emoticon

Yes I must admit that the quality is gone down for the clothes, the fabric is so thin!!!And they fray so easily aswell!!!You know the ribbon on the kangaroo girls dress? It fell off when I let my cousin play with them so I had to sew it back on!!And the kangaroo mother's dress frays like crazy!!!I had to hem it in again to stop it!Its the reason why I started making clothes for [sign in to see URL] I can't make normal clothes for some [sign in to see URL] anyone have normal non-dressy clothes patterns??

Miss Important - what a name! Just makes me smile. Who named her that? Do you have the whole family, the Importants? xD

In university a friend of mine was very clever to give funny nicknames to our teachers. We had three with the same first name, so one was called mini-Annie because she always wore miniskirts. (I don't remember what nicknames the two other had). One lecturer was really good, so we called her Aunt Qualified. But one seemed too full of herself, so she was named Aunt Important emoticon

Aww, that's a cute story, Suvenkorento! emoticon

My therapist actually gave Miss Important her name when she gave her to me. Miss Important is supposed to serve as a reminder that I have importance, as a person, and that it is okay for me to assert myself and let people know when there is something I need. It's actually something I've struggled with ever since I was a young child.

Since I've gotten Miss Important, I've taken her with me [sign in to see URL]'s become a security blanket of sorts, for me. emoticon
