What does the 'Lie down with dogs, wake up with fleas' mean??? My dog once had fleas and I avoided him while had them but then my mum got some sort of pill or something and now my baby puppsy pups is all better. emoticon

"If you lie down with dogs, you'll wake up with fleas" means that you should know and accept the consequences of your actions. if you make a choice (sleeping with a dog), be prepared for the consequence (getting fleas).

why the cat's away the mice will play. i love that one you made up emma! very good!
theres lots of ones about children being quiet, eg, children sud be seen and not heard. i cant think of any as they seem to be all on here, if i think of some ill write them
