Re: Tons of new items for Calico Critters

Yes I did. I was still in diapers and rode the school bus (a small one, mind you) to a special school for the deaf. I did not have any older brother or sister to go with me. It was hard on my mother to let me go at an early age but it was necessary for deaf children to attend early schooling to get the most out of education. I attended a regular school during middle school and high school and still got to ride the school bus there.

My son has mild autism and he attended an early education center at age 3 and he rode the school bus there, too. He is 9 now and attends a regular school but no school bus since we live close by to be able to walk there.

Oh shame poor baby. But hats off to your mom for realizing what is best for her baby.

And for you too for sending your boy to where he should be.

Re: Tons of new items for Calico Critters

Hi Candy! My aunt attended deaf school around age 2 as well. I think she lived there and only came back home during weekends because the school was too far away from her home. Her mom had 8 other children and a job so they couldn't move!

About the school bus, did you buy it? It's so expensive to my liking but I wonder how nice it is. The yellow school bus was a big part of my childhood and now it is the same for my kid so I want to get them a toy bus as well. The Playmobil school bus is cheaper I think but I am afraid it will not fit the Calico Critters!

I wrote this in the Sales news but I am adding this here in case you didn't notice!

Toys R Us (USA) is having a sale right now until this Saturday Sept. 21st! 20% off your entire purchase. If anybody lives in the USA, this might be your chance to get some of the new Calico Critters items!

The coupon is good for both in-store and online purchases!

I don't know if Toys R Us overseas is having the same promotion.

Toys r us do have a discount on at the moment in the UK, but the number of items covered by it is small as most items are out of stock. Looks like they are doing a stock clearance and getting rid of the blue packaged sylvanians.
