Thanks. That will be much easier than remembering to fill out the form and send a check.

Re: New address for SSK

I've always renewed online (for the last 5 years)...even with the old site.
(Im in the US too).
But I think it will be great to be able to order items from the store [sign in to see URL] not sure how the prices and S&H compare to other UK sellers.
I want to get the Girls Love magazine Sylvanian Issue for my daughter. Has anyone seen it?

I didn't know we could have renewed online before. But yes it was a pain not to be able to order online and you'd have to wait for an email with a total.
I got one of the Girls love magazines last year- that was the one that came with a baby trunk elephant right?
I paid too much because I really wanted one. Dave is selling a bunch of magazines on eBay but I think those might be just old catalogs. Put it on the Marketplace Wanted topic maybe someone has an extra.

The new site seems not to show as many items as the original one. Also the part that deals with Calico Critter, Japanese and EU packaged items seems to have vanished on the new site. Is this a sign that only the new Epoch range will be available ?????? We shall have to wait and see..............

girls love magazine. there was one on ebay, not sure if its ended yet. theyre still for sale in the uk. i brought mine on saturday.

it must be the jp safety standards that arent up to eu, because the toys themselves are better made than uk ones and also all the little bits and bobs are the same as uk. i think its a bit crazy, especially as some sets are completely the same, so how can one meet safety standards an not the other?!

The jp versions probably are up to the safety standards, but they need to be tested to prove it emoticon And the processes and testing might be too expensive and unnecessary for Epoch.

I always thought JP were better quality.
In Oct. 2012, I saw JP items in store.

Yep that's exactly it. I know the JP branch were working to make sure that they would meet EU Safety Standards so that SSK could continue to import them. I do miss not being able to get hold of JP items easily in the UK.

Whirlwindsparkle, I think this was before you joined the board, but there was a whole big thing about SSK not being able to import any more Japanese items because of safety issues. Early last year I think? They still sell the items they imported before then, I saw some in the store just last week. But as they are not getting any more in I expect they'll be sold out soon. emoticon
