My Ebay Auctions

Hsving been inspired by Panda's new auction topic I feel I need a similar one.

I have just relisted lots of auctions using the free listings this weekend. I am more than happy to combine postage on auctions ending in the same week. I now can't afford to be holding on to items for weeks on end until a payment is sent. If you are bidding on auctions that end a few days apart could you drop me a message so I know to wait to parcel up. I've had so so much trouble recently with unpaid items, people wanting to cancel items, reduce prices or people giving me incorrect addresses. I have recently felt like giving up with Ebay completely. However, after much thought I have decided to continue to sell my items on Ebay (where I can access a large audience) but stick to my guns with pricing and terms and conditions. I have never previously opened a case against anybody who is a member here but have realised that I may need to consider doing this in the future. I just feel that my kind hearted nature has been taken advantage of a little.

Really, I need to be raising as much as I can (without ripping people off) from the figures I sell. If I get a place on my course this year that's a 5 year study commitment with low wages whilst I train. I am still collecting and around in the community but life is hopefully moving on for me a little in the next few years emoticon I also hope that I don't get unkind or unhelpful messages into my inbox or via my website about how I shouldn't be selling parts of my collection. I know it's a minority of "collectors" that choose to do this but I think it's important that people think about how their words may affect another person.

So sorry for the rant above. Many people who buy from me are truly lovely and brilliant but I'm struggling to comprehend the recent attitude of some collectors who have bought from me over the last few weeks.

My auctions link is below.

Hayley

You're one of the best Ebay sellers, you had help me grown my collection, and i had only the best to say about your auctions and you.I just feel like i know you😊

Thank you Hayley for helping me many many times over the years.

We all had our reasons to part with things, weather it is our collections or something else, it is our own choise or maybe circumstances in life that makes us choose what to do. If someone don't agree with this, then i think they should keep it by them selves.

You go girl 😊

She should be with you any day now. Was posted well over a week ago.

Thank you everyone for such kind words. I'd been beginning to think all the nice collectors had disappeared.

Re: My Ebay Auctions

It always amazes me that buyers would have to nerve to ask for discounts or cancel transactions. I wouldn't dream of doing that whether I purchased from a seller on ebay or the runboard. You and other sellers do a great deal of work finding and bidding on items that are rare or impossible for buyers to get in their own countries. Having to decide to sell your own collection for whatever the reason must not be easy either. Most people don't realize how much work it takes to sell on ebay or their own website. The amount of time and work photographing, describing and listing on ebay or your website, keeping track of what has sold and been paid for, then packing, posting, etc. Having to constantly chase people for payment or deal with buyers' bad attitudes must be very frustrating.
I feel fortunate that you give us the opportunity to buy things we otherwise wouldn't find ourselves. So thank you.

Re: My Ebay Auctions

hayley, its your collection at the end of the day so you should to with it what you please. i understand that you need money right now, and its to fund your future, you want to better yourself and thats a good thing. dont worry what some silly people say. its your choice.
i know ebay can be very frustrating sometimes! ive been waiting 11 days now for someone to pay for an item, its only £4 with postage! havent heard anything from them! i also had a person with the incorrect address, the ebay one and paypal were different as they had moved and only updated one. so i would check that all addresses are the same from ebay and paypal and if they aren't, u can contact them.
good luck with everything, im sure you will follow your dreams!
xx
