Just had my flu jab ......
and I just need a moan.
I never react well to it but it's a nicer alternative than what would happen if my asthmatic lungs got flu.
I have a dead arm, shivery and cold, feel sick and dizzy. I think it's time to just get into bed. Just needed to moan so I would feel better hehe.
Anybody else had the flu jab? I know it's worth it but it just makes me feel so rubbish for the next couple of days.

I had one a week ago but I felt fine after. Just a sore arm. I'm a school nurse so I have to get the shot because I'm constantly exposed to sick students!

I never have the time for getting sick on purpose so I leave it to luck! That will probably get me since I wrote that!!!

Suffering from Bronchitis for as long as I remember I have never been offered a flu jab. It could be down to the fact that I am allergic to eggs and they used to use eggs to make the vaccine. This year seems to be one of the worst for throat and chest infections.
Ah well, one of these days, if I can get an appointment at the doctors I will enquire about it as I am 60+ now (not quite silvered haired but getting there)

i had a flu jab one year,about two months later i got the flu really bad. i just slept for a couple of days and on day three i had to craw to the toilet as i was so exhausted i couldnt even walk! crazy heh? thats the only time ive had flu!

Thanks everyone. I am now completely fine. I always react to injections more than maybe the average person does but that was ridiculous this year. Last year I hardly reacted to it at all. I know it's because they change the strain/mix of the jab each year.

I hate injections. I have the lovely BCG to look forward to. Horror stories have already been passed onto us by this year's first years. I haven't had a jab in ages. My last may have been the Swine flu one?

I love how you guys call it a jab. I'm gonna have to use that term when I do my next flu clinic. It sounds so much more fun than a flu "shot".
