Books?

I did a quick search but couldn't find anything on SF books, so I am opening a new topic.

After watching those adorable stop motion films I have become interested in the original books and was wondering if there's a list of all books available somewhere?

Also, does anyone have any information on this book: =olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&seller=]SF storybook?

Any help greatly appreciated! emoticon

I love these books with the little figure that comes with it. I bid on the Winky one from Panda's auction but missed the end of it.

Re: Books?

hi mel, the book u have a link to is an annual. there are 4 sylvanian annuals from the [sign in to see URL] came out in the late 80's, early 90's.
as pictured above their are eight storybooks which came out in the early 90's. three of them were released again with a figure for the 10th anniversary.
i have all these books and annual. the storybooks are pictures of the real figures and so is one of the annuals, the others are cartoon pictures. most of the cartoon stories in the annuals are the same as the comics that were around at the same time.
i have pictures of all of these on my website.

posticon Re: Books?

I have 2 of the annuals but I like the real pictures more than the animated ones. It's like the TV show someone posted recently that's narrated by Bernard Cribbins. The non-animated ones are so much better to watch than the cartoon shows because they look like the do in person- like we're watching our own little family members on television.

Count me in emoticon I love that show. I have watched the episodes couple of times by now xD

Those books look adorable too! But I try not to buy them. I would probably get tired of them, unless I meet, marry and have children with a guy who speaks English as first language xD

Suvenkorento, I plan to watch the DVD again tomorrow. emoticon

Regarding the books, they were so cheap (though buying all of course wasn't, really) that even if I only read them once that's good entertainment value. And if I can imagine Bernard Cribbins reading them to be that'll make it even better. emoticon
