Figures only or accessories/furniture too?
I was wondering what everybody's collecting habits are.
Do you only focus on figures? Or do you also collect playsets, houses and furniture?
I mostly collect figures because I don't have much place for Sylvanian houses, but they are growing on me. It would be nice to get some building playsets some time. =)
The tiny accessories (especially toys!) are so cute and I already started collecting them.
What about you?

Re: Figures only or accessories/furniture too?
OMG! I have a ton of non figure items, most of which have recently arrived and not yet catalogued and photographed for my website.
Today I recieved my second shipment from Singapore. In it were two houses, the Ivy Cottage and the Riverside Lodge, along with all kinds of cool accessories.
Also today, I paid for a shipment from Texas in the US. It is the largest shipment I've ever made, with figures as well as accessories.
I'm collecting all sorts of items so I can make more videos. When the items are not being used as movie sets, I'll have them all labeled, organized alphabetically, and stored in plastic boxes. That way I can find items for specific scenes without having to tear the place apart.
Once I get more organized around here, I'll post more photos of my new storage systems as well as photos of the new accessories. Of course, you can always check my website for stuff that I've been able to catalogue each day.
Didn't do any cataloguing today, but did make curtains for my two new houses and finished the curtains for my CC Charming Country Home. I just have the CC Townhouse and CC Deluxe Village House. Husband thinks I'm going a bit overboard with the curatins, but I think they add a lot to the homes.

I used to collect buildings & furniture, but I just don't have the room for them anymore The only sets I have room to display are Lakeside Lodge, Brambles Department Store & a couple of the smaller houses.
Plus I used to buy all my buildings at the toy shop where I worked as I got discount Unfortunately it closed at Christmas so no more cheap Sylvanians for me!

I collect what I like, including Buildings and Furniture sets. Mostly I collect items from the late 1980's when Sylvanians first came out, but since im getting close to caught up with those I started collecting JP familys, Im very close to having all the current JP familys, when they are finished I will start the current UK familys (I love the new UK familys (save the penguins))

Re: Figures only or accessories/furniture too?
I used to buy all the houses I could, until I ended up with too many..... maybe one day I will sell some, as they are all in storage and haven't been touched in well over 5 years. I think the dream of having a SF town was broken when I realised how much work it is - all the setting up, dusting, rearranging.... it never looks good. I only collect the firgures now, and save for the few I got at the car boot the other day, I haven't got any in a long while. I'm waiting for those guinea pigs though!

Re: Figures only or accessories/furniture too?
I had a Plexiglas top made for my display table so dust doesn't get on the display.

Awesome idea! I build my room scenes inside glass cabinets for the same reason. But a plexiglas dome would look much better I guess. I wonder if i can use an old fish tank for this purpose... =P

Re: Figures only or accessories/furniture too?
An aquarium would certainly do well for smaller displays, but the larger the display the heavier the tank is to move safely.
My display table is 58" by 33". The Plexiglas top is about 56" by 31" by 19" tall to accomodate the Deluxe Village House and any other building(s) I want. Even though the top is fairly light weight, it still takes two people to move it off the table.
